St Brigids LGFA

There has been long tradition of Ladies Gaelic Football in the Hacketstown area with Clonmore Ladies producing many successful county players and competing well at a club level.

In recent years, with a focus on underage development, the club has made great strides. A break through year was 2015 where Clonmore Under 14 Girls won their division in the All-Ireland Feile competition. After our name change to St. Brigids LGFA, more success followed in the 2018 Feile, when the girls travelled to Kingscourt in Cavan, and won their division.

Numbers of players participating is increasing and overall, the club has doubled it’s numbers in the last four years. The club fields teams now from U-9 all the way up to our adult ladies team and are hoping that participation levels will continue to increase in our great sport. Behind the scence we have a wonderful team of volunteers who give generously of their time and experience. Please follow us on our facebook page, St. Brigid’s LGFA Club or contact us at stbrigids.carlow@lgfa.ie.After competing well in underage over the last number of years, an adult Junior Ladies team was reformed in 2019. The ladies reached the County Junior Final in 2020, which was an achievement in only our second year.
