A HACKETSTOWN media graduate’s dream came true when she recently scooped a much-coveted position as presenter on Beat FM, helming her own programme in the evenings.

Megan O’Regan Byrne was thrilled when she was named among three new presenters in Beat FM’s busy schedule.

Megan will take to the airwaves alongside Waterford duo Michelle Heffernan and Kirsten Mate Maher.

Megan will be behind the mic for ***The Takeover*** every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from 7pm.

“This is a complete pinch-me moment! This has been a huge dream of mine since I was younger, so I could not pass up this opportunity. In school I always got myself into trouble for how much I talked; I guess it all makes sense now!” Megan told ***The Nationalist*** .

Megan is the daughter of Jim Byrne and Jenny O’Regan Byrne and, after attending school in Hackestown’s Coláise Eoin, completed a degree in media and public relations at IT Carlow before achieving an MSc in digital marketing.

She caught the media bug while still in school in Coláiste Eoin.

“Media is something I have always had a huge interest in. Having been lucky enough to complete work experience in RTÉ during transition year, I was certain on the career path I wanted to follow,” continued Megan. “This really is a dream come true for me.”
