Enagh Farrell, originally from Hacketstown, Co Carlow now living in Dublin. Enagh explores the magic in nature through her illustration practice. Her practice is inspired by global myths and legends that are situated within the natural world; the reciprocal spiritual connection felt between humans and the natural world and from the science of biodiversity and ecology. Her illustration style draws from the kid-lit genre and a more contemplative drawing style. Enagh has a degree in Fine Art Print from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. A Masters in Visual Art Practice from IADT. Previous exhibitions include The Cross Gallery, The Stone Gallery, Monster Truck, Tinahely Court House, The Signal Gallery, and The Carlow Arts Festival. Her work has been featured in the Irish Independent. She became increasingly interested in drawing as a visual narrative and writing often accompanies her illustration. One illustration can be made up of many photos that she has either taken herself or found. In her spare time Enagh loves to read about nature themes such as trees, plants and biodiversity. She is also involved in community led biodiversity projects in her local area in Dublin Enagh accepts commissions especially anything that is nature related. Her website includes a shop with original art, prints and cards.
